LAKEWOOD — Typically, one will find Collin Shampine playing defense for the Chatfield Chargers. But for multiple reasons — disciplinary, injuries and so forth — Chatfield head coach Brock Blume had to move the lanky junior up into the offensive set.

There are many reasons why Jensen Teague is Chatfield’s No. 1 singles player. His drop shot was falling. He was spraying the back line routinely. The cross-court, the forehand and the overhead, all were working.
William Kincaid considered the all-pavement course that was the Liberty Bell Invitational an easy course. It just wasn’t easy for him, considering it was mostly all downhill. But, as he said, he’s obviously getting better at running those.
