The Chatfield Chargers had been targeting the Columbine Wrestling Invitational for a year now. Ever since they finished third last year, they were determined that this was their year to win it.
And win they did, taking first-place honors at the tournament with 173 points, two points ahead of second-place Arapahoe.
“This is huge. We’ve been shooting for this all season,” Chatfield head coach Jeff Holland said. “We knew this was gonna be a breakout season for us and it was real nice coming out and taking this tournament.”
