Lions embrace 4A state wrestling experience

DENVER — Littleton High School wrestling coach Heath Burton can look at Poe Di and Aron Pino Valenzuela and be proud that the juniors represented the Lions at the 4A state championships. 

He should be because, after all, it’s been more than two decades since the school produced a state qualifier and even longer since it had a state champion. For the record, the last — and only — state champion to come out of Littleton High School was Steve Smedley in 1966.
