Outdoor Lab Foundation donates $900k to Jeffco
Jeffco’s Outdoor Lab Foundation provided Jeffco Public Schools with more than $900,000 in support during the 2017-18 school year.
During a presentation of a check to the school board on Thursday, the foundation’s executive director Shannon Hancock announced that the organization was able to provide $910,916.58 in support to Jeffco’s Outdoor Lab schools at Mount Evans and Windy Peak — largely due to the generosity of community donors.
The funds were used to build two custom greenhouse classrooms at each of the sites, provided student tuition support — as well as high school leader and intern support — and also assisted with the foundation’s new youth advisory board.

Jeffco schools welcome new administration
Several Jeffco schools welcomed new administrators into their buildings at the start of the new school year, including Conifer High School, which welcomed Cassandra Alley as a new assistant principal, and Evergreen Middle School, which welcomed Kimberly McCormack as a new assistant principal.
