Colorado Parks and Wildlife is offering military veterans and active-duty military personnel, including active duty Reserve and National Guard members, free admission to all Colorado state parks during August.

To take advantage of the promotion, veterans and active military are required to obtain a military hang-tag pass by showing Parks and Wildlife staff: active or retired military identification, a DD Form 2, DD Form 2765 or DD 214; or a Colorado driver’s license or state ID that specifies “veteran” may be presented.
Discharged military veterans can have the word printed on their ID by bringing DD 214 paperwork and a valid military identification card to their local driver’s license office.
