Hit-run accident injures pedestrian

A 61-year-old man was seriously injured on the evening of Oct. 17 in a hit-and-run accident along a South Jeffco street.

The man was walking his dog about 5:45 p.m. on West Glasgow Place, northwest of West Ken Caryl Avenue and South Pierce Street, when he was hit by an unknown vehicle, according to the Colorado State Patrol.

The vehicle didn’t stop, and the man was found a short time later on the sidewalk. He was taken to a hospital in Littleton with what the State Patrol described as serious injuries.

The name of the victim was not being released.

Police had no description of the car, but the patrol said it likely has front-end damage.
