Kerona Games of the Year 2022 •

The year 2022 is coming to an end and the team would like to present their games of the year to you for the eighth time this year. Each day until December 31, select team members will showcase three 2022 favorites as well as next year’s most anticipated titles – today it’s Kerona’s turn. Kerona’s Games of the Year 3rd place :Rune Factory 5
The Rune Factory series has taken an encouraging direction. We no longer see events from a bird’s eye view, which benefits the fights in particular and requires a little more tactics. The jump to 3D optics hasn’t been good for the franchise in any way, but it shows what’s possible. As a result, I’m curious to see what innovations will be added or improved in future Rune Factory titles. Personally, I really enjoyed the game and had fun until the end!
The little cat immediately purred in my heart. I enjoyed spending every second in Stray, which is probably also due to the not-so-monstrous game time. The characters were interesting, the world extremely exciting, and the ending truly phenomenal. I hope it’s not a blockbuster wonder, because Stray deserves a worthy sequel. The best part? Attention to detail in the behavior of the cat! Scratch everywhere, snuggle up, sleep… What more could you ask for?1st place: A Plague Tale: Requiem
Innocence has already created a really big world, on which Requiem has built itself with dignity. The dynamic between sibling duo Amicia and Hugo is truly heartwarming and brought tears to my eyes towards the end of Requiem. The game world looks stunning, the music is just insane, and Amicia’s voice acting talent is mind-blowing. It’s precisely this combination that makes A Plague Tale: Requiem the game of the year for me. Most Wanted 2023 Wow, I just saw that I can take on about half of Most Wanted 2022. Diablo IV and Starfield. Thanks to the material presented, I look forward to Hogwarts Legacy even more, as Hogwarts castle and the surrounding forests seem fascinating on their own. I’m just in the mood for Diablo IV because, well, looting and leveling. There’s also my favorite class right off the bat, the Necromancer. Yay! And Starfield is just going to be an explosive, multi-faction space adventure. At least in my imagination. The only addition is Story of Seasons: A Wonderful Life. I have fond memories of the original GameCube and can’t wait to see the gameplay in its modern form. However, a bit of skepticism remains here, as the everyday options were already very limited back then and would need to be increased properly so that I would stay motivated to see my own child grow.
