Koei Tecmo brings us today a longer video of Project Zero: The Mask of the Lunar Eclipse. Remaster producer Yutaka Fukaya and original director Makoto Shibata play the game and provide commentary. They explore a sanatorium and mostly talk about upgrades and inspirations. Project Zero: The Mask of the Lunar Eclipse is a chilling mystery set on a remote island in southern Japan. A decade after the mysterious disappearance of five girls at an island festival, memories of the events of their disappearance are still hazy. But when two of the girls are found dead ten years later, the three remaining teenagers return to the island to solve the mystery of those deaths while unlocking the mysteries of the memories they left behind. Project Zero: The Mask of the Lunar Eclipse will be released on March 9, 2023 for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation, Xbox and PC. Koei Tecmo thus closes an important gap. Because it’s not a brand new game, it’s a localization of Fatal Frame: Mask of the Lunar Eclipse, which was previously only released in Japan in 2008 for the Nintendo Wii . By the way, the future of the series seems assured.
