Michi’s games of the year 2022 •

The year 2022 is coming to an end and the JPGames.de team would like to present their games of the year to you for the eighth time this year. Each day until December 31, select members of the team will showcase three favorites of 2022 as well as next year’s most anticipated titles – today it’s Alhym’s turn. Alhym of the Year: AI: The Somnium Files – nirvanA Initiative
AI is only number three because I’ve only played three games this year that came out in 2022. In the end, it wasn’t really a good game I think. Part 1 was still surprising, a bit too much anime fanservice for me, but the story was very good and interesting. Part 2 starts with a very interesting mystery that is solved halfway through the game… but not normally, more like (no spoilers) more along the lines of “Haha, we tricked the player, are they really there believed ? !” The story does not improve thereafter, spoiling the overall impression. 2nd place: Triangle Strategy
A surprisingly very good game for me, in which decisions really lead to different routes and have effects. I happened to be on the true path to the end, then I got it on the first try, which was extremely difficult. The fights are crisp, but you can do them with good tactics – even if those sometimes involve running away and isolating individual opponents. Maybe I’ll do another game at some point and just make bad decisions.
The absolute hit for me this year, a piece of childhood (The Secret of Monkey Island) transported to the year 2022. I would not have thought that the third installment would be so good. The story is great (even if some people don’t like the ending), the characters are all likable, the gameplay is funny, the puzzles are tricky but not too difficult, the soundtrack was catchy, and I had a feeling comfortable warmth again like in my childhood. What more could you ask for? Most Wanted 2023 Definitely Final Fantasy XVI. I have great faith in the team that brought us Final Fantasy XIV: Shadowbringers, which was absolutely brilliant Final Fantasy. The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is also a very good candidate for an impressive gaming experience and another 200 hours wasted. Plus, Starfield looks extremely nice, and I hope Bethesda makes that happen. Because games like Fallout and Elder Scrolls really do that to me. I’m also looking forward to Like a Dragon: Ishin. This jewel finally arrives in our latitudes! Thank you Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio! The whole JPGames team wishes you a happy new year 2023! Images: Spike Chunsoft, Square Enix, Devolver Digital
