Police have located the car they believe struck 13-year-old Taylor Hunt on Dec. 12.

Hunt was walking toward a bus stop on her way to Ken Caryl Middle School when a black 1997 Volkswagen Jetta struck her. The driver fled the scene.

Hunt was taken to the hospital and released the same day but did suffer serious injuries, according to the Colorado State Patrol.

The car was found at 8545 S. Wadsworth Blvd., which is believed to be where the owner of the car lives.
